About Every
Birth Network

Our Mission

The Every Birth Network for Infant and Maternal Support collaborates to improve infant and maternal health outcomes, creating positive and lasting change for Allen County families.

The Every Birth Network is convened by Healthier Moms and Babies, a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to bettering our community’s future by promoting the health and safety of today’s—and tomorrow’s—moms, babies and families.

The Future of Firsts

For every 1,000 babies born in Allen County, six infants die before their first birthdays. Many factors contributing to our community’s high infant mortality rate are preventable. Healthier Moms and Babies conducted the Infant Mortality Study to understand how our community can better support our most vulnerable residents. The Infant Mortality Report explores the mental, physical, social and financial determinants that stop families from leading healthy, happy lives.

The Every Birth Network was formed to work collaboratively on the recommendations made in the study.

Our Members

Every Birth Network members are active participants in committees that create change in our focus areas: maternal mental health, safe medication use and safe sleep education.
